Can your Pillow Affect your Grades

Restless nights and not getting the proper rest can negatively affect students grades. Sometimes students get so caught up in their busy life they forget their sleep is important. If you are a student we know life is busy and getting even a few hours of sleep can be hard.
One thing you should acknowledge is the pillow you sleep on, a lot of the times people don’t think there is a difference in the pillow the sleep on. Little do they know is they are missing out on better sleep nights. Whether you are a side, back sleeper or stomach sleeper; sleeping on the wrong pillow can cause body aches, neck pain and shoulders pain.  These problems could make it harder for you to focus. With restless nights comes the lack of motivation and if you are a college student you know there is no time for that, all the energies possible are needed.
As the images above demonstrate the best sleep relies greatly on the pillow you sleep on. For any type of sleeper the ideal pillow provides enough support according to weight, ensuring proper neck and spinal alignment.
If the pillow is too high it will cause your neck to bend too far forward and out of its proper alignment. But if a pillow is too low it will cause your neck to fall too far backwards also causing nonalignment.
The perfect pillow should adjust itself to your head giving you the necessary support for your head and neck.

There is a process you must follow when finding the perfect latex pillow, it all depends on the your weight and height.
Looking at the chart below you identify your, height and weight in one of the 3 zones.
Our recommendation are solely based on weight and height and not personal preference. If you have a personal preference on the softness or firmness of your pillow our recommendation is use our guide and choose the next softest or firmest depending on your preference.
Choosing the right pillow will allow you to eliminate any pain or discomforts caused by sleeping without the proper neck and spine alignment on an incorrect pillow. One of the main reason people wake up with body discomforts is because your body is not properly aligned during sleeping hours.
  • The ideal pillow for you should be the right height.
  • Your pillow should provide proper alignment throughout the night.
  • More importantly, it should provide comfort.

If you fall within the GREEN ZONE our recommendation is that you choose a softer or regular pillow.
